Rivertide Boatworks is owned and operated by boatbuilder Mike Marino. Mike has been a boatbuilder for over twenty years, beginning his career by taking classes at the Woodenboat School in Brooklin, Maine in 1984 and 1985. He continued his studies in Lowestoft, England from 1987 to 1988 at the International Boatbuilding Training Center where he graduated with degrees in boatbuilding and joinery. He started his first boatbuilding company in 1997 under the name Marine Woodworks Plus.

Mike has had the privilege of working on important historic boat projects such as “La Recovrance,” an 85 ft wooden schooner built for and owned by the city of Brest, France and well as local projects such as the Woody Guthrie here on the Hudson.
